China’s Leading Location-Based Social Mobile App, Jiepang Partners with Starbucks to Celebrate Christmas with “Check-in” Rewards at over 200 Stores in Eastern China

Jiepang launched its first campaign with Starbucks in China exactly one year ago. This year, starting Nov 8, the campaign will also feature a NFC enabled postcard on community boards inside the over 200 Starbucks stores in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.

SHANGHAI--()--Jiepang today announced it has partnered with Starbucks to launch a creative holiday promotion to reward smartphone users for using the Jiepang app to “check-in” at any of the over 200 Starbucks stores in Eastern China.

From Nov 8 to Dec 17, Jiepang users who “check-in” at a Starbucks store in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces will receive a virtual Starbucks badge. When the number of badge issued hits 20,000, the Christmas rewards will be unlocked, and those who have collected the badge will be able to enjoy a free upgrade – a bigger size of drink at Starbucks between Dec 17 and Dec 25.

Jiepang users with NFC enabled smartphones, for example, Google Nexus S and Nokia C7 etc, will also be able to experience checking in by waving their phone over a NFC postcard that will be placed on the community boards inside the Starbucks stores.
