Opened on October 26, 2011 to coincide with the New Year celebrations in the region, the center is based in Taramani, the heart of the technology corridor in Chennai, India. This is the first facility in the region to focus on creating sophisticated marketing solutions using the latest developments in digital/creative, production and e-commerce enablement. The expansion reinforces and strengthens Group FMG’s assets around these core growth areas. Group FMG had earlier raised significant capital from India Value Fund Advisors, a leading private equity fund, and Zodius Capital, a growth capital and build-out company.
The new ultra-modern 25,000 square feet facility will operate 24/7, 365 days a year to give clients maximum flexibility. It is staffed with top-level creative, marketing, engineering and IT professionals recruited from leading universities and companies in India, as well as from other parts of the world. The Group FMG COE will specialize in state-of-the-art cross-platform design, content and technical applications across media platforms such as smartphones and tablets. E-commerce enablement, driven by advance technologies, will be a key area of focus - including cloud infrastructure and computing, open source software programming (e.g., Drupal, Magento, Android, PHP, etc.), and rich media.
To assure the highest quality levels, the Group FMG COE recently successfully attained two major international government certifications - ISO 90001 and 14001 - ensuring worldwide standards of excellence, safety and quality -- including disaster recovery, business contingency, information security and data integrity.
