MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FedEx Freight, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has further streamlined LTL (less-than-truckload) shipping by providing customers with electronic shipping solutions. This enhancement, which adds FedEx Freight to existing applications for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground, now simplifies the shipment preparation process for FedEx Freight customers who will also benefit from easier access to FedEx Express and FedEx Ground services.
Designed for small and medium retailers and manufacturers, FedEx Ship Manager® Software helps users manage multiple FedEx Freight shipments easily. For customers with continuous high-volume shipping needs, FedEx Web Services and FedEx Ship Manager Server allow integration of FedEx electronic solutions into existing software applications for customized shipping-management capabilities.
FedEx Ship Manager Software customers can save time by preparing and managing shipments with a combined address book for FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and now FedEx Freight. In addition, these capabilities include the creation of shipping reports and email notifications about the status of a shipment. The bill of lading and shipping label can also be sent via email to another recipient.
“Providing superior customer service is always forefront in our minds at FedEx Freight,” said Bill Logue, president and chief executive officer, FedEx Freight. “We are confident that by offering FedEx Ship Manager Software, FedEx Ship Manager Server and FedEx Web Services to FedEx Freight customers, we are pursuing our goal to be the premier service provider in the LTL marketplace.”
