Disabled Veterans National Foundation Delivers More Than $150,000 Worth of Supplies to Support Veterans and their Families in North Carolina

WASHINGTON--()--The Disabled Veterans National Foundation delivered $76,347 worth of goods to ‘Operation Homefront in Charlotte, NC. The shipment included infant’s and children’s clothing and personal care products. DVNF also delivered close to $75,000 worth of goods and clothing to the Mecklenburg County Community Support Services to help veterans in the greater Charlotte, NC area. Much of the assistance sent to Mecklenburg County will go to help homeless support services for veterans living in the area.

We are proud to be able to deliver more than $150,000 in aid and support to help veterans and their families in and around Charlotte,” said Precilla Wilkewitz, President of DVNF. “We cannot stress enough the real crisis we are seeing in cities across America with homeless veterans who are in such need of support services. The fact is in this economy with budget cutbacks at all levels and the lack of jobs, too many of our heroes are falling victim to life either partially on the streets or being totally homeless. Programs like these two in Charlotte are good examples of veteran services groups making a difference with homeless veterans.”
