Keynote Systems and GoodData Deliver On-Demand Business Intelligence

-- Correlating website performance data with other data sources has never been easier

-- Keynote-GoodData integration delivers actionable intelligence for e-business teams

SAN MATEO, Calif.--()--Keynote® Systems (NASDAQ:KEYN), the global leader in Internet and mobile cloud monitoring, and GoodData, provider of the world’s most powerful cloud analytics platform, announced today that they are partnering to build a “GoodData for Keynote” integration that taps into Keynote Data Feed to deliver pre-built, rich and interactive intelligence dashboards to enterprise IT organizations.

The GoodData-Keynote integration will provide Keynote customers with valuable insights into their business performance by allowing them to create custom visualizations of their Keynote website performance data within GoodData’s on-demand business intelligence platform. The GoodData-Keynote integration comes with pre-built interactive dashboards rich with key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports offering best practices for measuring and analyzing web performance. Customers will be able to perform ad hoc analysis and customization for unique visualizations of Keynote data and have the ability to store, archive and easily access web performance data. Additionally, enterprises will be able to mash-up their Keynote data with critical IT systems and business data sources to gain new levels of insight and a single view into all key IT systems via GoodData’s easy-to-use interface.

"Keynote is offering its customers new ways to visualize and derive value from our cloud monitoring data,” said Vik Chaudhary, vice president of product management and corporate development at Keynote. “And by partnering with GoodData’s cloud platform we’ve made it both simple and on-demand.”

"The cloud is allowing companies to partner in ways never before possible," said Roman Stanek, founder and CEO of GoodData. "The integration between the Keynote API and GoodData's analytics platform seamlessly unlocks the value of Keynote's data. This allows both IT and business users to make actionable decisions, without yesterday's complexity or the need for a PhD. We love this integration because it gives Keynote users the ability to discover their web experience data, in addition to combining that data with other important IT systems - it enables true organizational measurement."

Organizations are currently awash in data from an overload of server elements and network components. Only Keynote provides the end user perspective on the performance of these systems. By correlating various computing and business data sources with Keynote online performance data, enterprise organizations can determine the true performance drivers that are meaningful to the end user experience and to business results. The GoodData-Keynote integration brings this rich data directly to the business users that need to see it in order to make better decisions, and offers the flexibility to slice and dice the data to obtain the views that make the most sense.

Background/Use Cases

GoodData is an on-demand business intelligence tool that delivers powerful analytics and dashboards in the cloud. The GoodData-Keynote integration will extract Keynote measurement data using Keynote data extraction functions. GoodData’s Keynote integration provides out-of-the-box visualizations of Keynote data and allows each customer to fully customize their dashboards, create new reports and perform ad-hoc analysis. For example, an operations team would have the ability to plot a Keynote performance trend line against server data such as CPU utilization and memory to see what actually impacts user experience and when.

Users can also create custom dashboards using Keynote data and other sources. For example, a customer can match Keynote performance data next to business performance data such as sales, conversions or visitor traffic. Additionally, Keynote customers can mash-up their Keynote data with other data sources to provide critical insights across IT systems.

The GoodData-Keynote application will have the ability to import Keynote performance data to produce new insights in the following ways:

  • Enables customers to perform uniquely powerful analysis and visualizations of Keynote data based on their business needs. Many customers require extremely unique visualizations of their business data. With GoodData customers have the flexibility to create almost any report, dashboard or graph to meet their needs.
  • Provides a platform for customers to download and archive Keynote historical performance data without the need to invest and develop their own custom system.
  • Ability to correlate Keynote data with other IT data and business data sources. For example, a customer may wish to match-up server log data with Keynote-detected ‘outside-in’ errors or compare user conversion rates to performance as measured by Keynote over time.
