“Evolution of Vacations” Infographic Available — at No Charge — to Online Media Outlets that Feature Travel Information

VICTOR, Idaho--()--Thirty-four percent of American adults fail to use all of the vacation time they earn each year. Twenty-four percent of employed adults check work email while on holiday. And women are more likely to feel guilty about taking time off from work for a vacation than men (40% women vs. 29% men).

These and myriad other vacation factoids are contained in a new online graphic (infographic) that can be used for free by any blog, website or online publication that features travel information. Developed by CityPASS and Dream Systems Media, the infographic uses colorful graphs, photos, and trivia to document the evolution of travel from the early 1800s to the present.

A rights-free, web-ready version of the infographic can be downloaded from the CityPASS website. Permission to use the graphic is granted to any website, blog, online publication, etc. that features travel information. The graphic can also be linked to from the CityPASS blog. (Note: The CityPASS copyright mark must not be removed from any version or reproduction of the printed/posted graphic.)

CityPASS packages admission to a destination’s top attractions into one easy-to-use and deeply discounted ticket booklet. An adult New York CityPASS, for example, costs $79, and includes prepaid admission to six top attractions whose tickets, if purchased individually, would total $146. That’s a 46 percent savings on combined admission to the Empire State Building, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), either the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island or a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise, and either Top of the Rock observation deck or the Guggenheim Museum.

Another example is the 2012 Southern California CityPASS, which saves travelers 26 percent off a three-day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper ticket (three days of back-and-forth access to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park) and one-day admissions to Universal Studios Hollywood and SeaWorld San Diego.

CityPASS ticket booklets, which can be purchased on CityPASS.com or at any of the CityPASS attractions, are available for New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California and Toronto.
