Dubai Media City Receives Senior Delegation from South Korea’s Central Officials Training Institute

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates--()--A delegation from the Republic of Korea’s Central Officials Training Institute (COTI) visited Dubai Media City, a member of TECOM Investments Media Cluster, to gain insight into the free zone’s development since its inception 10 years ago.

COTI is a part of South Korea’s Ministry of Public Administration and Security. The visiting delegation comprised civil servants that are currently undergoing COTI’s New Leader Development Programme.

TECOM Investments is currently home to over 18 Korean companies across its various industry clusters. During their visit, the Korean team toured a few of these entities including Cheil MEA in Dubai Media City and the Korean Broadcasting System in Dubai Studio City.

The delegation also reviewed the state-of-the-art facilities at DMC that hosts over 1,400 companies, ranging from global media majors to promising start-ups. Senior DMC officials briefed the visiting delegation on the roadmap for establishing a thriving media community. A blueprint for developing a next-generation TV station that conforms to global broadcast standards was also shared with the visiting delegation members.
