ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Current Motor, a Michigan-based startup that has developed a revolutionary electric maxi-scooter targeted at top markets in the Americas, today announced four new appointments to its Business Advisory Council headed by General Motors’ former vice chairman of product development, Bob Lutz. The new Current Motor Advisors are: Barbara Boxer, Nancy Philippart, Richard Rossmann, and Ingrid Vanderveldt.

Barbara Boxer is general counsel of PDM Bridge and a government affairs expert. A BELLE Capital venture partner, Barbara will assist Current Motor with its government grant and export financing initiatives.
Nancy Philippart is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Wayne State University and former global head of General Motors’ Accessories division. A BELLE Capital limited partner, Nancy will advise Current Motor on its personalization strategy, a key profit driver for the company.
Richard Rossmann is the former VP and a founding officer of American Axel and Manufacturing. A co-investor with the BELLE Capital, and a manufacturing and operations expert, Rick will advise the company on scaling its operations.
Ingrid Vanderveldt is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Dell, the creator of the CNBC series “American Made” and “On the Road with iV.” A co-founder of the Glass forum and an avid motorcycle racer, Ingrid will advise Current Motor on its sustainability initiatives.
Earlier this year Lauren Flanagan, former platform software entrepreneur, managing partner of BELLE Capital, LP, and a Business Week “Top 25 Angels in Tech” investor, was appointed Executive Chairman of Current Motor’s Board of Directors.
