CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Boyden, a global leader in executive search with more than 70 offices in over 40 countries, announced today that Paul Schmidt, a seasoned professional in the recruitment of C-suite executives, has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a Managing Director in its Consumer and Industrial practices.
Mr. Schmidt will play a key role in Boyden Chicago with his strong track record in placing senior leadership with Midwest-based companies and his ability to work with manufacturing clients as they continue international expansion.

Mr. Schmidt brings over 25 years of executive search and leadership experience, having worked with public, private and private equity sponsored clients ranging in size from $20 million to $20 billion. His expertise includes the recruitment of board members, CEOs and COOs, as well as senior functional leaders at the Vice President level and above in finance, supply chain, marketing, sales, technology, HR, audit, tax and R&D.
Prior to entering the search business, Mr. Schmidt held various leadership positions in marketing, sales and strategy with Beatrice Foods Company and Baxter Laboratories, and as a business analyst at Exxon. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mechanics and M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
