Taiwan Delegation Sails off to Caribbean Islands to Enhance Trade Relations

Taiwan-St. Lucia Partnership Trade Exhibition 2011

TAIPEI, Taiwan--()--The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the foremost non-profit trade and investment promotion organization in Taiwan, is pleased to announce that it is leading a trade mission to visit Saint Lucia and Puerto Rico on October 7-12 to conduct exhibitions, trade meetings, and other business-related activities.

Bringing with them the latest products as well as new opportunities for business and trade, the delegation comprises 6 dynamic enterprises representing various industries, including industrial machinery, electronics, hardware, toys, and foods.

You will find a wide range of products in the Taiwan Pavilion:

  1. Machinery:
    Band and Lace Crochet Machines, Cord Knitting Machines, Net Bandage Knitting Machines, Entertainment Machines
  2. Electronics:
    LED Sign Accessories, LED Writing Boards, MP3 Players, MP4 Players, Toys, Arcade Game Design Centers
  3. Hardware:
    Building Material Pipe, Fittings, Valves
  4. Foods:
    Prepared Foods with Retort Pouch (Chicken Soup & Porridge), Black Fungus Juice, Preserved Fruit and Vegetables, Quality Rice, Snacks, Aquatic Products, Meat

From the 7th to the 9th of October, 9:00 to 18:00, the delegates will be exhibiting their products at the Taiwan-St. Lucia Partnership Trade Exhibition 2011, located at Hebah Ltd., 5th Floor Baywalk Shopping Mall, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, St. Lucia, W.I. In addition, TAITRA will present a wide range of promotional materials and catalogs representing Taiwan’s key business sectors and offering helpful tips on how to do business with Taiwan. TAITRA will also facilitate visitors and buyers in product/supplier sourcing and introduce the business and partnering opportunities that are available. TAITRA therefore welcomes any enterprise interested in knowing more about Taiwan’s businesses, and invites them to take advantage of this chance to learn about the many business prospects that are available.

Following the exhibition, the delegation intends to travel to Puerto Rico on October 10. On October 11, it will conduct trade meetings with local enterprises, and on October 12, it will visit some renowned chain stores and a shopping mall.

The trade mission not only intends to provide local enterprises the unique opportunity of meeting with the delegates in person for negotiation on possible business cooperation but also serves as an ideal occasion for enhancing mutual trade relations.
