About Z Portal System: Multi-view, High-Throughput, Drive-Through Detection Capability
AS&E’s Z Portal system is a multi-view, drive-through screening system capable of scanning cars, vans, trucks, and their cargo for concealed threats and contraband. Z Portal system customers include the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Abu Dhabi Customs, and NATO.
About SmartCheck HT (High-Throughput): High Speed Personnel Screening System
AS&E’s SmartCheck HT (High-Throughput) high speed personnel screening system is the most effective and efficient system to screen for contraband and threats hidden under a person’s clothing. Its capability goes well beyond that of metal detectors because it simultaneously detects both metallic and non-metallic objects, such as guns and knives, plastic and liquid explosives, composite weapons, drugs and other hidden threats and contraband.
The system protects the privacy of screened individuals, while still effectively displaying threats, by generating an easily-interpreted image that looks like a chalk outline of the person.
About Gemini: Unique Multi-technology Parcel Inspection Systems
The Gemini parcel inspection system is the lowest cost multi-technology parcel inspection system on the market and the only system to combine AS&E’s Z Backscatter™ technology and dual-energy transmission. AS&E’s Z Backscatter technology provides enhanced detection of organic materials such as explosives, drugs, and plastic weapons. Dual-energy transmission provides outstanding image quality, and enables the quick detection of a wide variety of threats such as guns, knives, and wires for IEDs. In addition, dual-energy offers organic and metallic discrimination. Together, the Gemini system’s two technologies provide the most information available about the contents of a parcel. The Gemini 6040, Gemini 7555, and Gemini 100100 systems offer multiple tunnel sizes to inspect air cargo, large packages, break-bulk cargo, mail and other small parcels to meet the security requirements for customs checkpoints, high-threat facilities, building lobbies, air-cargo facilities, and mailrooms.
