Sun Life Financial Appoints Mark Donaphon Regional Vice President, North Region, for Employee Benefits Group Division

WELLESLEY, Mass.--()--The Employee Benefits Group division of the U.S. business group of Sun Life Financial, Inc. (NYSE:SLF, TSX:SLF) announced today the appointment of Mark Donaphon as Regional Vice President (RVP) of the Group’s North region.

The Employee Benefits Group division (EBG) offers Group Life, Disability, Dental, and Medical Stop-Loss insurance through 170 group insurance sales representatives in 34 major U.S. cities. In his new role, Mr. Donaphon will lead a team of nearly 60 Employee Benefits Group sales representatives and managers across 11 offices.

After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point and serving as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army, Mr. Donaphon joined Sun Life as a group sales representative in Philadelphia. In 2004, he was promoted to an Assistant Manager position in the Philadelphia office and then was named Manager of the Cincinnati office in 2007. He has since expanded his responsibilities to include oversight of the Cleveland Group office and all sales territories in the greater Ohio area. While building his successful career here at Sun Life, Mark also received his MBA from Villanova University.
