RESTON, Va. & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAXIMUS Inc. (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that its United Kingdom subsidiary, MAXIMUS Employment & Training, has delivered the best results for helping job seekers secure long-term employment under the United Kingdom’s Flexible New Deal (FND).
The Department for Work and Pensions issued a Delivery Directorate Performance Report that included the final set of official statistics ranking the performance of FND providers. MAXIMUS Employment & Training helped the largest proportion of program participants get back to work – as well as delivered the best results overall.
FND was one of the largest set of employment contracts in the UK. Under the contract, MAXIMUS Employment & Training delivered employment services for individuals in Surrey, Sussex, and Kent who faced long-term unemployment for more than 12 months. FND was recently replaced by the Work Programme, where MAXIMUS is responsible for helping unemployed individuals in East and West London, Thames Valley, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight secure long-term employment and transition off welfare.
“We are very proud to complete delivery under the Flexible New Deal as the top-ranked provider. However, our real achievement is the number of people we have been able to help back into work, and the number of lives we’ve helped to change,” commented Bob Leach, Managing Director of MAXIMUS Employment & Training.
“We recently launched operations under the Work Programme and are off to a great start, drawing on our proven track record of demonstrated results and long-term outcomes to help job seekers achieve sustainable employment and economic independence,” commented Akbar Piloti, President and General Manager of the MAXIMUS Human Services Segment.
