Baltimore Gas and Electric Awards ICF International Two New Contracts with Combined Capacity of up to $55 Million

ICF to Provide Services for Energy Efficiency Programs

FAIRFAX, Va.--()--ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded two new contracts to extend and enhance energy efficiency services with Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) for its existing programs. The contracts have a capacity of up to $55 million and a term of three years. The work’s start date and scope will be based on the outcome of the Maryland Public Service Commission’s review of the 2012-2014 suite of programs recently filed.

The contracts continue ICF’s support of BGE’s Residential, Small Commercial, and Large Industrial and Commercial Conservation programs. ICF will provide services that include energy efficiency program design and management, marketing and promotion, trade ally recruitment and management, rebate processing, quality control, and program tracking and reporting.

“Winning these contracts demonstrates ICF’s successful track record in designing and implementing large-scale energy efficiency programs,” said Mike Mernick, senior vice president for ICF International. “Support provided by ICF will help BGE and its customers to reduce energy use and mitigate the impacts of global climate change, and help BGE lead efforts toward aggressive state energy goals. Additionally, ICF’s program implementation team is proud to have contributed to the awards BGE attained in 2010 and 2011, including the Platts Energy Efficiency Program of the Year and ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year awards.”

“We are both pleased and honored to continue our energy efficiency work with BGE,” said Phil Mihlmester, senior vice president for ICF International. “Utility companies must balance the growing demand for energy with a price-sensitive, environmentally conscious consumer base. ICF helps utilities meet these needs, guiding them through the entire lifecycle of energy efficiency programs, including policy and planning, implementation, and technical analysis.”
