LONDON & BERLIN--()--Momox, the online trade-in service is expanding its used books, CDs, DVDs and games business to the UK . Customers in the UK can now also make use of the offer from Germany's leading second-hand dealers. The purchase price for your used articles is calculated online at http://uk.momox.com by simply entering the barcode or ISBN number. The shipping of goods sent by post from abroad to the online trade-in service is also free of charge.

According to Christian Wegner, Momox founder and Managing Director, the leap across the Channel is an important milestone for the development of the company: “The market for online purchasing of used goods is not only very lucrative in Germany. Internet giants such as eBay and Amazon, who are also entering the market for online trade-ins, confirm that we are on the right road.” Wegner also announced that Momox will be interested in purchasing used articles in other European countries in the foreseeable future. “Which countries will follow next we'd like to keep secret for as long as possible”, adds Wegner, with a wink.

The steadily increasing growth-rate in the online trade-in market is reflected in Momox's business figures. 100,000 used articles are checked daily in the Momox logistics centre in Berlin and prepared for resale. In the past few years, the volume from suppliers has doubled almost every year to reach EUR 23 million in 2010. We can already predict that 2011 will be the most successful year in the company's history.

The company was recently awarded the “2011 Innovation Prize” by Software-Initiative Deutschland e.V. in the e-commerce category. The software association chose the online trade-in service for its free iPhone app. Furthermore, the internet company came out winner in the most recent benchmark test conducted by getestet.de. With a total score of 1.9, Momox was nominated the best portal for fixed-price media trade-ins. German news magazine, Der Spiegel, also recently commended the online trade-in service: “The dynamic development and fast payout speak in Momox's favor.”

Momox (http://uk.momox.com), the online trade-in service with the largest selection of used CDs, DVDs, computer & console games and electronics. Since 2006, a total of over 13 million used articles have been purchased. At http://uk.momox.com you can make cash from your CDs, DVDs, games, book collections and used electronics with little effort. In the meantime, Momox founder Christian Wegner is a good example of someone who has risen from unemployment to successful media entrepreneur, running a company with 400 employees.
