PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) has announced that the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), Australia's leading membership body for the photography community, has made a financial contribution to its dpBestflow® project. It was also announced that Peter Krogh, who has served as Project Manager and a principal author of dpBestflow, will become Director of the project.
ASMP, in cooperation with the Library of Congress, launched dpBestflow, shorthand for “Digital Photography Best Practices and Workflow,” in 2009. dpBestflow, which has been lauded in the visual arts community nationally and internationally, offers definitive new guidelines for digital photography best practices which streamline and improve the process, production and preservation of digital photography. In addition to the website, dpbestflow.org, the dpBestflow initiative encompasses educational seminars and two books, “Digital Photography Best Practices and Workflow Handbook” (Anderson/Russotti, Focal Press 2009) and “The DAM Book” (Krogh, O’Reilly Media, 2009).
