Madison Media Institute Honors Summer 2011 Graduating Class

MADISON, Wis.--()--Madison Media Institute will be hosting a graduation party for the Summer 2011 graduating class, Saturday, September 17th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Turner Hall in Madison, Wisconsin. Graduates will be recognized formally in February, 2012 at a commencement ceremony honoring all 2011 graduates.

Department chairs and instructors will be in attendance, showcasing student work and demonstrating technology specific to their program. Graduates are encouraged to bring family and friends to celebrate with fellow grads and MMI staff. Family and friends are also welcome to tour the MMI campus during the Open House from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on September 17th.

Representatives from the Entertainment & Media Business program will be available to meet with graduates who are interested in continuing their education at MMI and earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. The Entertainment & Media Business program prepares students for management and production careers in the entertainment/media industry.

“The party will be a great send off to our summer graduating class. It’s a chance for students to display their work and to network with graduates of other programs. We wish the best of luck to all the graduates, we hope they’ll stay in touch and keep us informed of their successes,” said Bret Ammons, Dean of The College.

Tiny Riots, a local indie rock band, will be performing live at the graduation party. Recording & Music Technology students worked with Tiny Riots this summer, the entire Platonic album was recorded in MMI’s Studio Recording class. Recording & Music Technology Instructor, Dan Stoffels, is a member of Tiny Riots.
