NEW YORK & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jefferies today announced the appointment of Reinout Koopmans as a Managing Director and Co-Head of European Equity Capital Markets within the firm’s Investment Banking Division. Mr. Koopmans will be based in the firm’s London office and will partner with David Weaver, Head of European Capital Markets and President of Jefferies International, in leading the firm’s European Equity Capital Markets business.

Mr. Koopmans brings to Jefferies more than 16 years of experience. He joins the firm from Deutsche Bank in London, where he spent 10 years and was most recently a Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets for the Natural Resources sector and previously Head of Equity Capital Markets for Emerging Markets. Prior to that, Mr. Koopmans worked for six years at McKinsey & Company in Germany and Asia. He received his PhD and Masters degree from the London School of Economics and his undergraduate degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
