SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Miramax announced today the continued build out of its worldwide sales organization and the opening of its first international office in London. The announcement was made by Mike Lang, CEO of Miramax.
Joe Patrick has been promoted to lead Worldwide Sales. He will continue to report to Lang and will work closely with Beth Minehart, SVP, Global Digital. Patrick joined Miramax in March as Senior Vice President, Domestic Television & Digital Sales. Miramax also announced that Danny Goldman has joined Patrick’s team as SVP and Head of Sales, Europe. Goldman will report to Patrick and be based in London, where Miramax is opening its first international office later this month. The new London office will be located in historic Covent Garden.

Prior to joining Miramax, Patrick was Executive Vice President at MGM Worldwide Television Group overseeing all TV sales in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. He also oversaw digital distribution including EST, VOD, and SVOD with clients such as Apple, Netflix and Hulu. Previously, Patrick was Vice President at MGM Domestic Television handling basic cable sales, and prior to that was Vice President at MGM Television Europe where he secured distribution deals to launch MGM Movie channels in Israel, Germany and Turkey. He started his career at MGM in Distribution Services in International TV. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University.
Before joining Miramax, Goldman was CEO of Power Television. He previously spent 10 years at Sony Pictures Television as Senior Vice President of Sales, responsible for licensing movies and TV series to broadcasters across Europe. Before joining Sony, Goldman was Managing Partner and Director of Initiative Media, and founding partner of their digital agency, initiative.com. He had previously held positions with Motive Communications and Lowe Howard-Spink. He holds a BA with honors, first class from Manchester University.
