Famed Fashion Designer David Meister Hosts Susan G. Komen Los Angeles “Designs for the Cure” Gala at Bel-Air Bay Club Oct. 28

First Annual Event Brings Together Celebrities, Fashion & Philanthropy to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Screening, Education and Treatment Services

LOS ANGELES--()--Susan G. Komen Los Angeles today announced that esteemed American fashion designer David Meister will host the first annual Designs for the Cure Gala at the Bel-Air Bay Club Friday, Oct. 28, from 6 p.m. to midnight. In partnership with the Otis College of Art and Design, the “pink tie” gala will bring together the world of fashion, celebrities and cancer survivors to raise funds for breast cancer screening, education, treatment and research.

The event will feature a celeb-studded pink carpet, cocktail reception, dinner, and fabulous silent and live auctions featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and items generously donated by supporters. Music and entertainment for the evening will be provided by DJ Timbo, one of the most popular DJs on the West Coast, and Vox Lumiere, a highly acclaimed Los Angeles theater production company that combines live music and dance performances against a backdrop of classic silent films.
