VRL: Leasing Life Awards Finalists Announced

  • BMW, Cisco, IBM and Volkswagen battle for Captive Finance Provider of the Year
  • ING bags finalist spot in four out of nine categories

LONDON--()--Leading provider of digital information services, VRL Financial News, has today announced the finalists for this year’s Leasing Life Awards, which take place after the Asset Finance conference on 3rd November. The conference and the awards will take place at the luxurious Arabella Sheraton in Bogenhausen, Munich’s publishing quarter.

Finalists include industry heavyweights such as Lloyds TSB (SME Champion of the Year), HSBC (Public Sector Lessor of the Year) and Santander (Public Sector Lessor of the Year and Green Lessor of the Year). ING, the world’s largest banking / financial company by revenue, has managed to secure a finalist spot for an impressive four out of nine awards: SME Champion of the Year; Public Sector Lessor of the Year; Innovator of the Year and European Lessor of the Year awards. The Captive Finance Provider of the Year award sees BMW, Cisco, IBM and Volkswagen – amongst others - go head to head for the title.

The Leasing Life European Conference 2011 gathers industry leaders from across Europe to look at how leasing is redefining and rebuilding its business model in the post credit crunch world. The conference will pave the way for the prestigious Leasing Life Awards which will give attendees a chance to celebrate with their colleagues from across Europe and winners the honour of receiving their awards in front of some of the industry’s biggest players.

The awards also acknowledge inspiring individuals in the Lifetime Achievement Award category. This year there are four deserving finalists: John Bennett, Hitachi Capital; Roman Ivanenko, Ukrainian Union of Lessors; Jean Marc Mignerey, SG Equipment Finance and Elia Wakileh, Comprehensive Leasing Company.
