LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Westfield Century City today announced LL COOL J as host for its celebration of Fashion’s Night Out, which takes place Sept. 8, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mayor Villaraigosa is also scheduled to make a special appearance at 7 p.m. to help kick-off the evening’s festivities, which include a high-end fashion show featuring the latest collections from retailers throughout the center.

BLOGGER BAR AFTER PARTY – In collaboration with Microsoft, Westfield Century City is hosting a Blogger Bar after party for fashion, beauty and lifestyle bloggers and their readers. The Blogger Bar, located adjacent to the Microsoft Store, will consist of a lounge area complete with a digital bar where bloggers and guests can log online and blog live from the event.
BEAUTY BASH – Guests will be treated to makeovers and touch-ups by professional makeup artists. A special guest beauty editor will be available to meet and provide beauty tips. Following their makeovers, guests will be invited to have their photo taken and immediately uploaded to the Westfield Century City Facebook page.
SIMONE I. SMITH POP-UP SHOP – Shoppers will have a special opportunity to meet Simone I. Smith, jewelry designer and LL COOL J’s wife, as she debuts her new fall jewelry collection, including her signature hoop earrings, cuff bracelets and more. Additionally, ten percent of sales from the Sweet Touch of Hope Lollipops available at this pop-up shop will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
GENDARME POP-UP SHOP- Guests will receive a signature Gendarmerie massage and meet LL COOL J. They will have the opportunity to sample Gendarme fragrances – clean, classic, casual scents that are sensual, yet professional. Those who purchase a bottle of Gendarme receive a complimentary bottle engraving.
MINI MANIS & DRYING LOUNGE – Indulge in hand massages and quick polish changes. Following the manicures, relax and dry your nails in the drying lounge while enjoying a glass of champagne.
FASHION INSTITUTE OF DESIGN & MERCHANDISE (FIDM) DRESS DESIGN COMPETITION – Fashion design students from FIDM have been invited to compete in a dress design competition using only shopping bags from Westfield Century City retailers as dress ‘material.’ The students will be assembled into teams for the two hour competition. The contest will then be judged by prominent members of the fashion community, including stylists and designers, and the winning team will receive a $1,500 Westfield shopping spree.
JUNK FOOD TEES & TOTES -Purchase a Junk Food tee or tote with the option to have the item customized on site by live screen print and spray paint artists.
Fashion’s Night Out participants can have their mane blown out to perfection at our Dry Bar, purchase fashionably sweet treats such as a special Fashion’s Night Out-inspired cupcake from the Vanilla Bake Shop’s pop-up shop, and much more. Upon check-in, guests will receive a token to be used in Westfield Century City’s Fashion Claw machines to try their hand at winning various fashion-related prizes.
