MarkLogic Customers to Speak at First NoSQL Now! Conference

Customers to Highlight MarkLogic Technology in Presentations

NoSQL Now! Conference

SAN CARLOS, Calif.--()--Relational databases have become entrenched Silicon Valley technologies. It was only a matter of time before new and growing changes in the amount and types of data would outpace their ability to innovate. MarkLogic Corporation, the company revolutionizing the way organizations leverage Big Data, today announced that customers Elsevier and ngmoco:) will be speaking at the inaugural NoSQL Now! Conference. The conference will be held from August 23-25, 2011 in San Jose, California.

“The NoSQL movement is driven by the need for companies to go beyond traditional relational databases,” said Ron Avnur, senior vice president of engineering, MarkLogic. “As unstructured information continues to grow and drives Big Data, companies are learning that relational systems can’t give them the insight that they need from today’s new types of information. As a leading non-relational technology, MarkLogic can enable organizations to make decisions in real-time with Big Data.”

MarkLogic customers Elsevier and ngmoco:) will be speaking at the conference. To learn more about how each company is using MarkLogic, attendees of the NoSQL Now! Conference can attend their sessions:

  • Experience with MarkLogic at Elsevier
Bradley Allen, vice president of Elsevier Labs, will lead a case study, showing how Elsevier has used MarkLogic in the development of a range of information access and discovery solutions for its customers. This presentation will cover Elsevier’s experience with XML-centric content management systems in general. Then Allen will specifically explain Elsevier’s initial adoption of MarkLogic’s technology, its current use within Elsevier’s online products and solutions, and opportunities for future use.
  • Selecting the Right NoSQL Tool for the Job
Dave Grijalva, lead engineer and architect at ngmoco:), will discuss challenges and considerations associated with selecting the right NoSQL solution for technical projects. The session will include a look at the NoSQL technologies ngmoco:) is using, including MarkLogic.

The NoSQL Now! Conference will be held from August 23-25, 2011 at the San Jose Marriott in San Jose, California. For more information on registration, lodging, exhibits, sponsors and more, log on to http://nosql2011.wilshireconferences.com.
