PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Center for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) Innovation required healthcare organizations to submit their Pioneer ACO Applications no later than August 19, 2011. Health Endeavors’ CEO, Kris Gates, has responded with a comprehensive web-based software solution for the effective and economical management and implementation of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to assist both the pioneer and future applicants and hybrid product users.
Ms. Gates recognizes communication and training will be the key to any ACO implementation. The Health Endeavors technology solutions have been in development and implementation for over 2 years with active participants in Arizona, Kentucky, Florida and Nebraska. Recently, Health Endeavors has been invited to attend a nationally recognized Technology & Innovation Forum in St. Louis, Missouri on October 18, 2011 to present their products to various healthcare providers.
Components of the ACO WebCenter include:
-
Physician Collaboration
Web-based software utilized by healthcare providers to rapidly advance physician alignment, quality and integration strategies via training and communications portals. -
Administrative Readiness
Web-based software utilized by healthcare providers to streamline implementation, management and compliance with the ACO eligibility requirements, such as conflict of interest, shared governance, compliance, contract management, assignment of quality measures and provider management, including report distribution. -
Operational Readiness
Web-based software focused on quality integration. For example, Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) training, such as preventative care and diabetes training, are distributed via the software to providers and office staff.
Physicians, mid-level providers and office staff may access the quality modules from their laptops, iPads and phone browsers
The Physician Collaboration component also includes a “Practice Optimizer” program that provides customized training modules, Officer Manager Tools for Success Series, online submission of note (chart) audits and a credentialing and contract management solution. Historically, note audits have been conducted onsite at a substantial cost to healthcare providers.
Health Endeavors “Practice Optimizer” program assists physicians in optimizing performance and reducing operational costs.
Health Endeavors has also contacted CMS to discuss utilization of the ACO WebCenter as an audit tool to assist in the reduction of costs to CMS and participating ACOs.
