Emulex Wins 2011 XChange XCellence Award for Breakthrough Technology Vendor

COSTA MESA, Calif.--()--Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that it was awarded a 2011 XChange XCellence award in the category of “Breakthrough Technology Vendor” during this year’s XChange Americas event hosted by Everything Channel. The XChange XCellence Award winners are selected by top solution providers and honor the vendors with the most exceptional products, programs and technologies in the channel market.

“We are honored to receive the XChange XCellence award as the Breakthrough Technology Vendor,” said Shaun Walsh, vice president of marketing, Emulex. “Being hand-picked by attendees, VARs and solution providers at XChange Americas is a testament to the Connect Partner program, which is designed to connect partners with revenue-generating incentives, training and exclusive access to our partner communities, while extending the reach of our 10Gb Ethernet (10GbE) I/O connectivity solutions in the market."

At XChange Americas, Emulex showcased its OneConnectTM Universal Converged Network Adapters (UCNAs). “Competition among the channel today is fierce and the XChange XCellence Awards offer vendors an opportunity to be validated by the solution providers who work with them day in and day out,” said Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president of strategic content, Everything Channel. “In a field of 117 participating vendors, the winners have demonstrated that they consistently deliver the high-quality, results-driven solutions their partners demand.”

A leading and independent industry event, XChange Americas brought together more than 250 solution providers and 117 vendor companies for three and a half days of networking, demonstration and information exchange.
