DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Travelers across the country are invited to join the Frontier Airlines animals as they take to the skies to celebrate the 135th anniversary of Colorado statehood on Aug. 1. Frontier Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:RJET), today announced its annual Colorado Day sale, offering great fares for fall travel across the lower 48 states.
“Rain or shine, our Colorado customers are loyal to Frontier, and we’re pleased to once again offer them great low fares for Colorado Day,” said Jim Reichart, vice president of marketing and sales. A hailstorm at the Denver airport on July 14 damaged numerous Frontier aircraft, resulting in a large number of flight cancellations and significant guest inconvenience. “Now that Frontier is back to business as usual, travelers can book with confidence and take advantage of some of our lowest prices of the year.”
The sale features fares as low as $9.99 each way. Roundtrip purchase is not required. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 3, 2011, for travel through Dec. 15, 2011. A 14-day advance purchase is required and blackout dates of Sept. 1, 2, 5 and Nov. 18, 19, 23 and 26-28 apply. The lowest fares are available for flights operating Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday; slightly higher fares apply on other days of the week, with Sunday travel excluded from the sale.
Additionally, members of Frontier’s EarlyReturns frequent flyer program can earn double miles for every qualifying trip they take systemwide throughout September. For details and to register, visit FrontierAirlines.com/memberoffers.
