NCKU: Student Organizations’ Leaders Prepare Successors in Advance

TAINAN, Taiwan--()--A total of 120 student organizations’ presidents, leaders and members are participating in a summer camp held from July 26th to July 31st where the senior students pass down their knowledge and experiences to the newly-elected students.

Imagining going on an interplanetary flight in a vessel named Neverland, the retiring presidents and leaders all dressed up in space costumes and put on a variety of performances like circus show in the opening ceremony on the 26th, as a way of introducing themselves to the fresh new faces.

In the next 5 days, the senior students will give lectures on conference techniques, official document writing, communication skill and role playing through interactive discussion while sharing their experiences of organizing activities and leading the student body.

“The departing student leaders will prepare the newbie in advance to reduce their pressure and help them get up to speed, thus preventing issues that may arise in the future,” said Yen-Yeh Lee, the contact person of the summer camp and a 4th year student from the Department of Urban Planning.
