Sorrento Networks Provides GigaMux 3200 WDM Solution to Wusys, a Leading German IT Service Provider

DENVER--()--Sorrento Networks announced today that wusys, one of Germany’s leading IT service providers, has deployed Sorrento’s GigaMux 3200 WDM solution to deliver high-performance IT solutions and data center connectivity to its customers.

“wusys has long been a market leader in IT infrastructure solutions and Sorrento Networks is proud to support a well-known provider in the European marketplace,” said Jim Nevelle, CEO of Sorrento Networks. “The GigaMux 3200 provides data center connectivity via GigaBit Ethernet and 8G Fibre Channel connections—one of the first 8G Fibre Channel solutions deployed in the world. Additional 10GigaBit Services are in the realization phase and will strengthen the service offering to our customers.”

Founded in 1994, today wusys is a full-service provider of IT infrastructure throughout Europe. The company services approximately 120,000 users (1,500 servers) in a variety of industries, including automotive, health care, finance, consulting, public administration and more. Wusys has one of the most energy-effective data centers in Europe with a PUE rate of 1.3, which provides customers cost-effective data-center services in a high-end environment.
