AirStrip Technologies Expands Executive Leadership Team

Bruce Brandes named Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer;
new position reflects aggressive growth strategy for mobile patient monitoring innovator

SAN ANTONIO--()--Tasked with spearheading strategic initiatives that will continue to grow the company, AirStrip Technologies, Inc. has added the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer to its leadership team, and Bruce Brandes will assume the role, company officials announced today.

Brandes, who previously served as AirStrip’s Chief Sales Officer, will oversee a number of key initiatives, including major account leadership, optimizing distribution channels, forging strategic alliances, marketing and product planning, and internal operational and financial outcomes.

“Bruce is committed to advancing technology that will transform healthcare. His energy and experience are invaluable assets to AirStrip Technologies as we expand our leadership team to execute an aggressive plan for global expansion,” AirStrip CEO Alan W. Portela said.

Brandes, who has spent more than two decades in the healthcare information technology and services market, will also drive internationalization, product development and the expansion of services globally.

“The AirStrip suite of mobile monitoring solutions is the most clinically compelling healthcare technology development I have ever seen,” Brandes said. “Physicians are now telling us that they prefer to send their patients to hospitals that use AirStrip, and that it makes their practice of medicine safer.

“This is powerful validation of our technology and how it impacts meaningful mobility – the use of native technology to strengthen clinical decision making at the point of care through data transformation,” Brandes added.

AirStrip OB and AirStrip PATIENT MONITORING are the only US Food and Drug Administration-cleared applications that can send virtual real-time waveforms to mobile devices.

AirStrip OB is now in use at labor and delivery units across the US, while AirStrip PATIENT MONITORING is available for virtually the entire hospital environment, delivering waveforms including cardiac, SPO2, ventilator, and arterial line information for patients in areas such as ICU, OR, ED and telemetry, among others.

AirStrip CARDIOLOGY sends digital, enhanced ECGs from pre-hospital and inpatient cardiology care settings to the physician’s mobile device.

The AirStrip Technologies solution suite allows physicians to receive critical patient data virtually anywhere, anytime their smartphone or tablet is connected to Wi-Fi or a cell phone signal.
