Metia Launches AmazonFresh Mobile eCommerce Application for Windows Phone

Simple-to-Use Mobile App Enriches the User Experience

KIRKLAND, Wash.--()--Metia/Seattle, one of the Northwest’s largest digital agencies and part of the global digital marketing agency Metia Group, announced the completion of a Windows Phone mobile shopping application (app) for AmazonFresh, the online grocery shopping site. The AmazonFresh app enables customers to select and purchase groceries wherever they are. The feature-rich Windows Phone app enriches the user experience by ensuring the site is quick, content is accessible, and that the process is personalized, easy and fun.

The free app allows AmazonFresh customers to easily create and manage new and existing orders. The app visually showcases AmazonFresh products, and makes the buying experience simple, fun and enjoyable. By taking full advantage of the Windows Phone operating system, Metia was able to build a mobile shopping experience that is lightning fast, providing AmazonFresh customers the convenience of managing their grocery orders where and when they want. Within a couple of clicks their orders are instantly delivered to Amazon’s secure servers to be delivered the same day, when available.

“We’re seeing more and more customers using mobile devices to order their groceries and are excited to launch this Windows Phone application,” said Aaron King, Senior Product Manager, AmazonFresh. “Metia brought a range of valuable insights around consumers’ mobile purchasing experiences. This has contributed to a great experience for our customers who want a quick-and-easy way to manage their grocery orders while on the move,” King added.

“With its visual appeal and quick-and-easy approach to ordering groceries, AmazonFresh is a prime example of the dynamic applications that take advantage of Windows Phone’s unique features and design,” said Todd Brix, senior director, Windows Phone Marketplace, Microsoft Corp. “Metia is a member of the rich developer ecosystem, which continues to create a variety of quality apps and games that are available on the Windows Phone Marketplace, and enable customers to get the most out of their Windows Phone,” he continued.

Andrew Martin, Vice President of Seattle-based Metia, stated, “In a mobile environment, perfecting the experience is all about the little details that add unexpected excitement; we’re doing our job well when we make the complex seem simple.” Martin added, “Ultimately if this app can make the grocery shopping experience so fun, fast and easy that AmazonFresh customers return again and again to use the service, then we’ve achieved our objective for Amazon.”
