CineSport Launches Industry’s First-Ever Interactive Digital Documentary Series

Sports Programmer Integrates Viewers As Part of Unique Programming Effort

NEW YORK--()--CineSport, the number one online sports programming service, announced today the launch of a new programming initiative of online “interactive documentaries” premiering this Summer. The first “digital doc” of the series entitled, “Sports Leagues vs. Players”, debuts on July 25th and analyzes the state of labor relations in sports. With the NFL in a work stoppage and the NBA on the brink of one, labor relations in sports continue to be a trending topic across the country. Other digital documentary subjects currently in development include: The best college football player ever and head trauma in sports.

The digital doc series will feature stories that are provocative, topical, relevant and incorporate award winning reporters from CineSport’s publishing partners. The docs will be serialized with four chapters of three minutes in length with the fourth and final edition being a roundtable discussion. The topics for the roundtable will be based on viewer input and will be aggregated from Twitter, Facebook, and site-specific comments.

“With the support of our network of publishers and access to a pool of some of the most respected reporters and experts in the business, these documentaries will provide unique programming for viewers and add value to our partners’ sites,” said Gregg Winik, CEO and Founder, CineSport. “Our digital documentary series showcases our belief that the original and differentiated content that CineSport creates sets us apart from all other programming services.”
