IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has extended its Kofax Capture solution to process a higher number of documents annually. The value of the contract to Kofax exceeds $300,000.
The Texas HHSC, which provides administrative oversight of health and human services programs, including Medicaid, family services and disaster assistance, purchased the additional volume of Kofax Capture licenses needed to now scan approximately 190 million insurance and eligibility related documents it receives annually. The extended solution will allow the Texas HHSC to deploy advanced capture capabilities in its eligibility services and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), empowering the agency to meet its high availability and business continuity objectives, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
“Government agencies, especially those managing human services, are under increasing pressure to contain costs while continuing to provide timely, responsive service to their constituents,” said Alan Kerr, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Kofax. “By leveraging Kofax Capture to enable the automation of document intensive processes, customers can increase productivity, improve service and deliver a tangible, compelling ROI.”
Kofax Capture provides industry leading scan-to-archive capabilities by scanning documents and forms to create digital images, extracting index data for retrieval purposes and delivering the images and associated data to a variety of repositories and applications. This can significantly reduce retrieval costs while improving better regulatory and compliance efforts. Kofax Capture is flexible and scalable, enabling customers to define where and how images are captured and indexed, whether in a home office, remote branch or back office data center.
