CED Selects Officers and Board Members

Eric Linsley, Pappas Ventures, named chair; David Spitz, ChannelAdvisor, chair-elect

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--()--CED, a private, nonprofit organization that promotes entrepreneurial efforts in North Carolina, has elected officers and members to its Board of Directors for terms beginning July 1, 2011.

Eric Linsley, managing partner for Pappas Ventures, is the new Chairman, with David Spitz, president and COO of ChannelAdvisor, serving as the Chairman-elect. Returning officers include: Greg Anglum, partner, Grant Thornton, as Treasurer; Kent Christison, administrative partner, K & L Gates, as Secretary, and Michael Elliott, managing partner, Noro-Moseley Partners, as Immediate Past Chair. All officers serve one-year terms.

Members of CED’s Board of Directors serve 2-year terms. Newly elected members are: Steve Crist, senior director, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina; Kenneth Eheman, Jr., partner, Wyrick Robbins; Mark Fekaris, IT director, Cisco Systems; Patrick Gibbons, vice president, RTI International; Steve Holloman, senior vice president, Wells Fargo Private Bank; Aaron Houghton, CEO, Eden Platform and chairman, iContact; Faisal Mushtaq, senior vice president, Allscripts; Kevin Prakke, partner, Williams Mullen; Robert Reuss, vice president, Vaco Raleigh; Oliver Sherrill, vice president, Alexandria Real Estate Equities; Bill Spruill, managing partner, Global Data Consortium; Chris Stoecker, vice president, Silicon Valley Bank; Phillip Street, partner, Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton, LLP; and Paul Torrey, senior manager, Deloitte.

Nominations to the Board of Directors were approved by the full Board of Directors at its annual meeting in May 2011.
