ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lucas Group, North America’s premier executive recruiting firm, unveiled a new thought leadership series today with the introduction of a video and White Paper titled “Recruiting & Managing Millennials: 8 Tips on managing Generation Y from a successful HR recruiter”. This is the first presentation in the Executive Insights series, featuring topical issues in each industry covered by Lucas Group’s executive recruiting practice. Lucas Group introduced Executive Insights with Managing Millennials as the first installment at the 2011 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
“This is a very client-focused initiative, designed to provide our current and prospective clients with insight into some of the most challenging issues they face in recruiting and management,” said Andrea Jennings, President and CEO of Lucas Group. “Our executive recruiters talk to and consult with clients and candidates on a daily basis, discussing the talent they need, how to find it, and how to retain and cultivate it. We ultimately realized that we were accumulating a wealth of important information from these consultative discussions and developed Executive Insights as a way to share some of that valuable information.”
The Executive Insights series features a main landing page with links to a White Paper and a video clip for each topic. In the first installment, Aram Lulla, National Practice Leader in Human Resources at Lucas Group, shares his thoughts on how to recruit and retain Generation Y talent. Among his top tips are:
- Embrace intelligence and diversity
- Weed out the “slacker” psychology
- Stay abreast of technology or risk being buried by it
“This first installment of Executive Insights was born out of a common discussion thread I was having with HR professionals around the country,” said Lulla. “Some were frustrated in their dealings with this age group while others wondered about the best approach to recruiting and retaining them. This thought leadership piece reflects those discussions and my own research and professional experiences. Our goal with Executive Insights is to provide a discerning perspective and intelligent guidance on some very real issues in the lives of our clients and candidates.”
Human Resources is the first professional discipline covered by Executive Insights. Lucas Group’s next two offerings will be Manufacturing Operations and Military Transition recruiting. By next year, Lucas Group plans to cover topics related to each of the seven major practice groups of the firm.
