IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Opus Bank and the Opus Community Foundation announced today that the Opus Community Foundation’s Board of Directors approved 13 grant awards. The grant awards will provide financial support to nonprofit organizations that make a positive and meaningful impact in the community and improve the quality of life of individuals and families, particularly the least advantaged, living in or around Opus Bank's communities.
Stephen H. Gordon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Opus Bank and Chairman of the Opus Community Foundation, stated, “The Opus Community Foundation is pleased to partner with these organizations that are committed to doing so much good in our communities. The organizations with whom we have chosen to partner serve as critical resources, provide vital services, and reach deep into our communities with programs that educate, aid, and inspire our youth; or train, counsel, and support those looking for jobs; and provide food and shelter for those with the greatest need.”
Katie Steele, Executive Director of the Opus Community Foundation, commented, “This is an exciting time for Opus Bank and the Opus Community Foundation as we connect with, learn from, and reinvest in our communities. It is inspiring to see how committed our firm, its board, and team members are to giving back to the community from the very beginning. It sets a precedent for the future and demonstrates our commitment to making a difference in the lives of those living in our communities.”
