CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG), the world's largest independent community of SAP professionals, today announced it will unveil its newest innovation, ASUGonline.com, at its May 15-18 Annual Conference, co-located with SAP SAPPHIRE Now in Orlando. The new virtual environment is designed to create an interactive space in which SAP customers and ASUG members can connect from anywhere at anytime to educational content and networking opportunities for specific ASUG events.
“We are thrilled to give our members another new and innovative way to experience ASUG’s many educational events,” said ASUG CEO Bridgette Chambers. “As we celebrate our 20th year, we are continuing our long tradition of ensuring that SAP customers throughout North America have the information they need when they need it.”
The new virtual space will officially go live on May 16. It was developed in partnership with ASUG Affiliate member vcopious, which has been the official provider of virtual environments for SAP and SAPPHIRE NOW 2010 and 2011. ASUGonline will host highlights from the 2011 Annual Conference, including a live transmission of the ASUG general session and a message from CEO Bridgette Chambers. Immediately afterwards, virtual conference participants will be able to experience a live broadcast of American entertainment icon and media innovator Michael Eisner’s keynote address, “Working Together: Why Great Partnerships Succeed.”
The site also will broadcast SAPPHIRE NOW keynote speeches, including remarks from Prof. Dr. h.c. Hasso Plattner, SAP’s chief software advisor and Germany’s foremost private patron of the sciences.
“Those who cannot join us in Orlando will still be able to experience many of the exciting things taking place at our Annual Conference,” said Chambers. “Throughout the event, members will be able to watch live interview broadcasts conducted by ASUGNews.com’s two award-winning journalists, Courtney Bjorlin and Thomas Wailgum. They’ll also be able to interact with other members of the ASUG community in the ASUGonline virtual lounge.”
