BEACHWOOD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kalypso, the world’s premier innovation consulting firm, is now accepting nominations for the second annual Spike Awards. The Spike Awards recognize companies using social strategies, processes and supporting technologies to improve innovation, product development and product management. Nominations are being accepted online now through September 2, 2011 at http://spikeawards.com.
The Spike Awards celebrate forward-thinking organizations that leverage social product innovation across the product lifecycle, including open innovation, crowdsourcing, expert identification, collaboration platforms, social product development and sentiment analysis.
“The business value companies can achieve through social media goes well beyond the marketing department,” said Amy Kenly, director of social media and analyst programs at Kalypso. “The Spike Awards recognize companies that leverage today’s expanding social opportunities and technologies to accelerate and enhance their existing innovation and product development processes.
“Kalypso’s research on social media and product innovation — and proof points from last year’s winners — show that early adopters are gaining value through increased customer and consumer insight, more and better new product ideas, stronger co-development opportunities and reduced development costs,” said Kenly. “We are looking forward to hearing more results and inspiring stories from the 2011 Spike Awards nominees.”
