Recent Hires to Rodman & Renshaw's Equity Research Department:
Wayne Atwell joins Rodman with more than 35 years of experience in the metals and mining sector. Prior to joining Rodman, Wayne was a Managing Director at Casimir Capital. Prior to joining Casimir, Wayne was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley from 1991 to 2006, where he was the Global Group Team Leader in Equity Research and built and managed a 12 member team of global metals and mining analysts. Wayne was also a vice president at Goldman Sachs from 1983 to 1991 covering the metals and mining sectors. Wayne has been selected as one of the ten best buy side stock pickers by Institutional Investor magazine several times and was rated as one of the top analysts in metals and mining by Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates on more than twenty occasions.
Michael Legg joins Rodman with more than 20 years of experience focused primarily on small-cap emerging growth companies. Most recently, Michael was a Senior CleanTech Analyst at Merriman and prior to that he was the principal and founder of CCM Ventures LLC, a private equity firm where he consulted for Global Infrastructure Partners, a $5.6 billion fund seeded by GE and CSFB. Prior to CCM, he worked on the buy-side as a partner and portfolio manager at GS (Grand Slam) Asset Management, a small cap value hedge fund. Prior to Grand Slam, Michael was a sell-side research analyst at Alex. Brown & Sons, Jefferies Group, and Prudential Securities.
