In this role, Barrett will be responsible for directing the organization’s business and operational strategy, developing synergistic opportunities with industry stakeholders, and presiding over IGI Health’s ambitious growth agenda. IGI Health Founder Arthur Kapoor will assume the position of chairman, allowing him more time to provide strategic vision for the company.

Prior to joining IGI Health, Barrett was senior vice president of the global delivery provider Virtusa Corporation where he led the healthcare consulting practice, EVP of the American Dental Association Business Enterprises Inc., CEO of Claredi Corporation and CEO of Medical Banking Exchange LLC. He has more than 10 years experience in leading healthcare professional services organizations including: PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Covansys, SAIC and others as well as more than 20 years in the health insurance industry in leadership roles at Aetna, Travelers, MassMutual and CT Mutual. He has led development of the HIPAA transactional and privacy and security standards and provisions as chair of ASC X12N and chair of the WEDI.
