DELRAY BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Poker Pro Magazine, America’s leading poker publication, has signed on to a major distribution deal at the World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Poker Pro (pokerpromagazine.com) will be available at the Rio to players competing in the most prestigious event in poker, the World Series. Last year the WSOP attracted 72,966 players from 117 nations. Players generated more than $187 million in prize money, making it the richest sporting event in the world.
This year’s 42nd running goes from May 31 to July 19. The 58-event Series culminates in the $10,000 buy-in Main Event on July 7-19.
“We plan to make Poker Pro available free of charge to every player at the World Series,” said John “Johnny Quads” Wenzel, editor-in-chief of Poker Pro. “These are the best players in the world and this is a chance to show them what we’ve got.”
Poker Pro is a glossy, high-end publication packed with moneymaking pro tips, strategies, and tactics, as well as news, player profiles, results, schedules and anything a pro or future pro needs to know about America’s game.
Poker Pro will be available at numerous outlets at the Rio during the entire six-week run of the WSOP.
“We have always spent more money on product than promotion,” said VP of Marketing Will Jordan. “But this year we’re going all out to show off the new Poker Pro. Poker Pro has more pages than any other poker publication, and every poker player can benefit from the information we publish. We expect Poker Pro readers to win big this year.”
Poker Pro Media, parent company of Poker Pro, also publishes Poker Pro Canada, Poker Pro Europe, and Online Poker Pro magazines. The WSOP distribution deal coincides with a re-launch of Poker Pro Media’s four websites: pokerpromagazine.com, onlinepokerpromagazine.com, pokerproeurope.co.uk, and pokerprocanada.com.
Poker Pro Media was established in 2004 and now has multiple titles worldwide.
