British Council Taipei and NCKU To Organize UK-Taiwan Forum

TAINAN, Taiwan--()--British Council Taipei Office Director Alison Devine and Director Programmes Hsin-Yuan Lai visited President Hwung-Hweng Hwung of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, on March 3rd to exchange ideas on a UK-Taiwan forum.

According to Director Programmes Hsin-Yuan Lai, National Cheng Kung University, National Taiwan University and National Central University will each organize a UK-Taiwan forum with support from British Council and National Science Council, Taiwan.

The universities will designate topics of their interests, arrange itineraries according to their preferred time and invite participation of partner universities with similar or complementary research field background from the United Kingdom.

It has been suggested that the UK-Taiwan forum will be held for three days. Experts will deliver speeches on the first day, share their experience with other attending guests in smaller groups on the second day and participate in field trips to industrial sites such as Science Park on the last day.

National Cheng Kung University plans to organize the forum in line with the festivity for its 80th Anniversary in November, 2011.
