NAPA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The YouDontKnowOz.com campaign, launched in December 2010, is designed to debunk Australian stereotypes by showcasing Australia’s cultural sophistication and leadership in wine production. The campaign kicked off with the Australia Day photo/caption contest. Today, Treasury Wine Estates announced Kim Branson from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, as the winner of the YouDontKnowOz.com FabulOZ grand prize – a trip for four to Australia valued at $18,000. As part of the prize package, Branson will attend an Australian-styled party with celebrity designer and host of HGTV’s “The Outdoor Room,” Jamie Durie.
Branson entered the contest by celebrating Australia Day (Jan. 26) using authentic Aussie entertaining tips from YouDontKnowOz.com. From Jan. 22 – 31, people across the country entered the Australia Day contest by simply uploading a photo to YouDontKnowOz.com showing how they brought their Australia Day celebration to life. Contest submissions also included a caption incorporating one or more of the following iconic Australian wines: Penfolds, Wolf Blass, Rosemount, Lindemans and Greg Norman Estates.
“I’ve always been a fan of Australia, but I had no idea how much I didn’t know about Oz,” said Kim Branson. “After learning about the rich culture of the country, I couldn’t wait to enter the YouDontKnowOz contest. I’m looking forward to seeing Australia in-person, and especially exploring the vineyards where my favorite wines are produced. Of course, hanging out with Jamie Durie will make the trip all that much more special.”
