DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder is set to announce the fast-growing energy provider’s fourth expansion state at the company’s annual conference on March 5. The audience of over 7,000 members of the firm’s independent sales force is likely to explode in enthusiasm when the fourth state is announced at the Dallas Convention Center. The revelation follows the remarkable success in the firm’s third state, Pennsylvania, where the company has signed up almost 50,000 customers since entering the Pennsylvania electric market four months ago.
Stream Energy and its marketing arm, Ignite, have held the Ignition conference annually since 2006, generating tens of millions of dollars for the local economy. The Ignition 2011 conference, including the high-energy closing day event at the Dallas Convention Center, will have an economic impact to the Dallas area of approximately $ 4,533,272.00, according to the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Stream Energy has experienced more than a tenfold increase in revenues since its founding six years ago. A growth in revenue from $70 million in 2005 to $900 million in 2010 has tracked and supported the growth of energy deregulation and provides ample reason for Ignite Associates to take pride in their achievements.
“Our expansion success has been notable, and we are proud to enter the fourth state as an opportunity for our Ignite associates and also to customers in the new state,” said Chairman Rob Snyder. “We expect the growth to continue and have put a platform in place to expand to new states in the deregulated energy environment,” he added.
During the Ignition convention, Stream Energy will bolster its support of Dallas-area non-profit Captain Hope’s Kids, an organization that meets the critical needs of homeless children. Funds raised by Associates during the convention will be matched by Stream Energy and presented to a Captain Hope’s Kids representative on Saturday.
Ignition provides seminars, speakers and training courses for Ignite Associates seeking ways to increase their business and expand their energy sales. Ignite Associates market electricity to customers in Texas and Pennsylvania, and natural gas to customers in Georgia, all deregulated marketplaces, on behalf of Stream Energy.
