NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Pinnacle at Symphony Place, the 29-story office skyscraper that is the newest landmark in the Nashville skyline, has been awarded Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Achieving the certification makes The Pinnacle at Symphony Place the first LEED-certified skyscraper in Tennessee.

The following features of The Pinnacle at Symphony Place contributed to its Gold LEED certification:
- A one-acre vegetated roof terrace garden includes a patio and seating area available to all tenants.
- Irrigation water demand is reduced by more than 50% through a combination of native and adaptive plants and an innovative water harvesting system.
- The design maximizes day-lighting, with more than 90% of regularly occupied areas having direct access to views of the outdoors, increasing both comfort and productivity.
- More than 90% of construction waste generated on-site was recycled, diverting over 2,948 tons of debris from the landfill.
