PatientKeeper CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry) enables hospitals to rapidly and cost-effectively deploy a physician-centric order entry system as an overlay to their current HIS without replacing existing IT infrastructure. It allows physicians to perform routine daily activities, such as ordering labs and medications, within a system that connects all of the appropriate departments at the hospital. Madison Memorial plans to deploy PatientKeeper CPOE on both desktop and mobile devices to give physicians maximum flexibility in their ordering workflow. The hospital also will implement PatientKeeper Physician Portal™, which provides a comprehensive view of clinical data from any web browser; PatientKeeper Mobile Clinical Results™, which offers physicians “anytime, anywhere” access to patient information via smartphones, tablets and other handheld devices; and PatientKeeper NoteWriter™, which automates physician documentation, a likely requirement for Stage 2 Meaningful Use certification.
