PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Global executive search and assessment firm Russell Reynolds Associates today announced an expansion of the company's Minneapolis/St. Paul office with the appointment of John Schultz to the Medical Technology practice. In his new role, Mr. Schultz will leverage his expertise in medical technology innovation and commercialization to provide strategic counsel and senior-level executive search services to clients in the large and growing field of medical technology.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Mr. Schultz was with Medtronic as the U.S. Marketing Manager for the CoreValve transcatheter heart valve in the Cardiac & Vascular Group. Prior to that, John was in Mumbai, India developing market development strategies for Medtronic’s Cardiovascular and CRDM businesses. John joined Medtronic in Corporate Business Development and later served as Senior Portfolio Marketing Manager and Senior Business Development Associate in the Cardiovascular division through Medtronic’s Leadership Development Rotation Program.
Mr. Schultz began his career as Investment Banking Analyst with TripleTree, an independent merchant and investment bank focused on M&A, financial restructuring, principle investing and strategic advisory services for healthcare and technology companies. He later worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for Northwest Airlines.
John received his B.S.B.A. in actuarial science and finance from Drake University, and his M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
