Veriphyr CEO Alan Norquist to Present at America’s Growth Capital Information Security Conference

Presentation Will Focus on New Access Vulnerability and Abuse Intelligence Service

--()--Veriphyr:

WHO:     Alan Norquist, CEO and Founder of Veriphyr. Norquist has more than 20 years of management experience building businesses that provide compliance, security, and line-of-business solutions for large and medium-sized enterprises. Norquist co-founded Cambridge Technology Partners (CATP) and was instrumental in driving the company's growth and expansion into new markets. He also served as vice president of marketing for Imperva where he launched the company into the leadership position in Web application and database security. Previously, he held vice president of marketing roles at Trovix (acquired by Monster), Ponte Communications (acquired by Voyence/EMC), and Autonomic Networks, as well as, management positions at Sun Microsystems (acquired by Oracle). Norquist holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley.

WHAT: Access security is vulnerable to neglect and abuse by insiders because it is dependent on managers and employees to attest to privileges. User access security is intended to provide preventive controls against inappropriate access to sensitive information. However, user access security software does not provide the granular visibility into activity necessary to discover vulnerabilities or to detect patterns indicating privilege abuse and data theft by insiders or intruders posing as insiders. Alan Norquist will discuss how Veriphyr delivers the contextual intelligence to determine if user access security is being undermined or if business imperatives require changes to a user’s privileges. Veriphyr analyzes identity, activity and privileges data from applications, databases, servers, networks, remote access systems, and even automated physical access control systems – to uncover vulnerabilities and abuse, as well as, identify their root cause across all layers of the user access security infrastructure.
