BARCELONA, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)--4G chipmaker Sequans will be demonstrating the capabilities of its LTE chip technology and the breadth of its LTE ecosystem participation in several places at Mobile World Congress this week. Demonstrations will be made with Alcatel-Lucent, ZTE, Motorola, and China Mobile whereby Sequans-powered LTE USB dongles and netbooks will be working in a live network delivering high throughput services such as high definition video.
“Our numerous LTE technology demonstrations with industry leaders at Mobile World Congress show the breadth of our interoperability achievements and our continued progress in advancing LTE technology,” said Georges Karam, Sequans CEO. “We are grateful for the collaboration of our LTE partners as we focus on readying LTE technology for commercial deployment.”
The LTE devices used in the demonstrations are powered by Sequans’ SQN3000 series LTE technology. Chips in the series are 3GPP R8 compliant, support up to 100 Mbps throughput, 10 and 20 MHz channel sizes, and band classes 38, 40, and 41.
The demonstrations with Alcatel-Lucent, ZTE, and Motorola are taking place onsite at Mobile World Congress in stands 7A96, 8C141, and 8A28, respectively, and the demonstration with China Mobile is taking place offsite at the LTE TDD-FDD International Summit. Sequans’ location at Mobile World Congress is hall 2, stand 2A116.
Sequans is also collaborating with Nokia Siemens Networks and Huawei on LTE interoperability, as recently announced.
At Mobile World Congress Sequans is speaking at RCR’s Mobile Broadband Conference on Monday, February 14, 2:30 – 3:00 PM on a panel entitled: “Fast Tracking LTE Devices” to be held in Sala D, Mezzanine floor between Level 0 and Level 1 in Hall 2; and at the LTE TDD-FDD International Summit on Monday, February 14, 2:30 – 5:30.
