The new Ascom i62 VoWiFi handset, available globally, replaces the previous model, the Ascom i75 and offers a new sleek design, high-resolution colour TFT display, is IP44 classified, offers a longer battery time, as well as a range of other upgrades. The Ascom i62 operates in the 5 GHz band, in addition to 2.4 GHz. The significantly lower traffic density in the higher band greatly reduces non-productive power consumption during packet retries and waiting for transmit opportunity.
