ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that NCC AB (Nordic Construction Company), based in Stockholm, Sweden, has signed a contract to implement Lawson Talent Management. The contract was signed during the second quarter of Lawson’s 2011 fiscal year, which ended Nov. 30, 2010.
Lawson Talent Management will help NCC improve its operational efficiency by helping to streamline core HR functions and simplify access to important workforce information. It delivers innovative tools that can help the organization attract, retain and develop key talent. Established in 1988, NCC is the second-largest construction company in the Nordic region with more than 18,000 employees and has operations in nine countries. The company is active in developing and building a wide range of residential and commercial properties, including industrial facilities, public buildings and roads, to name a few.
NCC is an existing Lawson customer using the Lawson S3 Financial Management and Procurement suites. The company is adding Lawson Talent Management to create a centralized HR system that can help improve access to valuable workforce data, such as employee skill sets, geographic location and training needs. Ultimately this can help improve workforce productivity and effectiveness and reduce costs. The company’s former HR data was housed in disparate systems across the company’s network, making it difficult to effectively manage its workforce and deliver optimal customer service.
“We realized that a key component in better workforce management should be a centralized HR system that would provide us with greater access to information and allow us to develop and grow our most important assets – our employees,” said Mats Pettersson, HR director for NCC. “We have a longstanding relationship with Lawson and this, paired with Lawson’s proven industry experience and comprehensive service offering, made it a natural choice. We are constantly looking for ways to deliver the highest-quality customer offerings, and this implementation marks a critical step in our efforts to help our people reach their potential.”
“The construction industry is marked by deep competition, and it is imperative that companies have in place a modernized HR system that allows them to make the most of their internal resources,” said Larry Dunivan, senior vice president of Human Capital Management products for Lawson. “Lawson Talent Management can help companies like NCC gain greater insight into important workforce information, allowing the company to more effectively use information to advance its broader business objectives and meet customer needs.”
More than 1,400 companies use Lawson Human Capital Management applications to help manage talent, automate administrative HR processes and help HR staff focus on more strategic, value-added employee initiatives. The Lawson Human Capital Management System is comprised of three suites, including Talent Management, Human Resource Management and Workforce Management. These application suites provide organizations with the information they need to help maximize workforce potential while helping HR leaders contribute to organizational excellence in direct support of business operations.
